SAS Commits $1 Billion Investment towards Artificial Intelligence (AI)

SAS has recently announced that it will invest USD $1 Billion in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Over the next three years, the company will invest in AI through software innovation, education, expert services etc.

SAS's investment in AI will focus on Research and Development (R&D), education and AI expert services to optimize customer return on AI projects.

Key AI investment areas

SAS investments in AI focuses on making AI technologies easy for users from business experts to data engineers to data scientists.
SAS is already embedding AI capabilities into the SAS Platform and solutions for data management, customer intelligence, fraud & security intelligence and risk management, as well as applications for industries including financial services, government, health care, manufacturing, and retail, says the announcement.

SAS is also bringing a new AI Accelerator Program that includes e-learning services like the SAS Academy for Data Science, and in-person training in AI technologies, a certification program called SAS Certified Professional in AI and Machine Learning. SAS AI Accelerator will also offer SAS Analytics Center of Excellence with experts in AI, machine learning, NLP, computer vision, optimization, simulation, and related data science skills to support their customers with AI implementations.

The recent announcement also listed Connexions Loyalty, Daiwa Securities, and Volvo & Mack Trucks as their customers using AI and machine learning from SAS.
