Pure Storage Introduces NVIDIA-Powered Solutions for AI Initiatives
Pure Storage has announced its portfolio of AI solutions to cater to the requirements from early stage inception to large scale production of AI implementations.
Pure Storage has partnered with NVIDIA and Mellanox to build a new hyperscale configuration of Artificial Intelligence Ready Infrastructure (AIRI) targetted towards data architects, scientists, and business leaders to operationalize AI-at-scale for any enterprise that requires supercomputing capabilities for real-world AI implementations.
Executive Opinion
GM of FlashBlade, Pure Storage, Matt Burr, said, "Businesses from a variety of industries are discovering that AI is necessary to tackle existing problems and create new opportunities. For example, healthcare organizations from around the world are using AI to bring advancements to treatments and quality of care. AI is complex and in its early stages, which means the solutions built to enable AI must be straightforward and user-friendly. Hyperscale AIRI is designed to bring supercomputing capabilities to pioneers of real-world AI without the complexities that often occur when scaling across multiple racks."Director of DGX Systems, NVIDIA, Tony Paikeday, said, "AI innovators and their IT teams need a faster path to growing infrastructure without the setbacks of design complexity and unexpected performance or operations bottlenecks. Enterprises need a rack-scale infrastructure solution that offers a streamlined, predictable path for growing capacity. With hyperscale AIRI, enterprises are getting a simplified solution that accelerates deployments and scales predictably in response to business demand."
AIRI, NGC Cloud and FlashStack AI solutions
Hyperscale AIRI not only allows enterprises to scale beyond NVIDIA DGX-1 to DGX-2 but with support for Kubernetes and Pure Service Orchestrator the solution also allows IT teams to deliver an AI-infrastructure with cloud-like elasticity, notes the announcement. The new hyperscale AIRI solution brings multiple racks of NVIDIA DGX-1 and DGX-2 systems with both Infiniband and Ethernet fabrics as interconnect options.
Along with Cisco and NVIDIA, Pure storage also brought its FlashStack solution for AI. With Cisco-certified UCS servers like C480ML and NVIDIA GPU CUDA accelerated AI libraries, Pure storage's FlashStack solution for AI enables a simplified, end-to-end AI pipeline, says the announcement.
To help data scientists build applications, Hyperscale AIRI gets NVIDIA NGC software container registry and AIRI scaling toolkit. NGC container registry provides pretested container images of AI frameworks. These containers support deep learning software such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, TensorRT, and more. Pre-integrated, GPU-accelerated containers include NVIDIA CUDA Toolkit, NVIDIA deep learning libraries, and an operating system. NVIDIA has Tuned, tested, and certified these containers to run on select NVIDIA TITAN and NVIDIA Quadro GPUs, NVIDIA DGX Systems.
