Deutsche Telekom and Software AG to create Global Cloud of Things IoT platform
Deutsche Telekom and Software AG recently announced that they will be partnering to deliver IoT services on a global scale.
Internet of Things (IoT) is a multi-billion international business opportunity. Projected as "IoT made in Germany", both companies will try to venture into this bigger international IoT market opportunity.
According to the announcement, both the companies will also expand their footprints in major countries of United States, European and Germany markets.

The announcement says that Deutsche Telekom's enterprise customer unit T-Systems has also planned to expand its Cloud of Things platform offering. DT plans to leverage Software AG developed the Cumulocity IoT platform. The platform will help enterprises to cut costs, boost efficiency, increase security and create new value by converting raw data into business intelligence.Cloud of things IoT platform will use Cumulocity IoT’s connected architecture as its foundation. Cloud of things will operate in a multicloud environment allowing the platform to scale quickly to meet customer demands. The new cloud of things for IoT will also integrate with extensions such as Streaming Analytics, Micro Services, and new protocols, notes the announcement.
