TCS's Robotic Automation Solutions to Digitally Transform Semiconductor Industry
Tata Consultancy Services announced a new Robotic Process Automation solution to drive greater accuracy and better quality in the chip fabrication process.
TCS has set up a new Semiconductor Center of Excellence (CoE) to design and build a closed-loop system. The center helps combine the power of automation and analytics to further enhance the semiconductor fabrication value chain.
CoE specialists are creating solutions that will enable the production robots, supported with intelligent algorithms. The new solutions will also respond to the heterogeneous scenarios to improve accuracy and quality throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process, the announcement notes.
Executive Opinion
V Rajanna, Global Head, Technology Business Unit, TCS, said, "We are leveraging our deep contextual knowledge gained from engagements in the semiconductor industry and harnessing the power of robotic automation to streamline core business processes using fab data intelligently. This will significantly jumpstart our customers’ Business 4.0 transformation journeys, with faster product introduction and improved quality. Our new CoE reiterates our commitment to investing in defining new digital paradigms for the semiconductor industry.”Chad Gailey, Vice President, Channel Sales and Global Service Providers, Blue Prism Americas, said, "By combining TCS’ semiconductor industry expertise and our Connected-RPA platform we’re able to transform operations and speed up product delivery in one of the most competitive and vital industries in the world.
