HTC launches Exodus 1s Blockchain Phone with built-in Bitcoin wallet
HTC, a Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, has revealed the Exodus 1s, which it says is “the first-ever smartphone with the Bitcoin Full Node Support.”
In May 2018, at the Consensus 2018, Blockchain Summit in New York City, Phil Chen, the Decentralized Chief officer for the HTC, revealed the firm’s plan to create HTC Exodus, “the world first native blockchain phone.”

In October 2018, HTC has unveiled its latest crypto phone, Exodus 1, which is based on the revolutionary blockchain technology. The Exodus 1 model went on sale in the US and Europe late last year. It was initially cost 0.15 BTC (later on, it became possible to buy it for the $699). The crypto phone was available for pre-order at a price of 0.15 bitcoins or 4.78 ether tokens. This was roughly translated to $960 at that time.
HTC revealed that its Exodus 1s crypto phone comes with a wallet app, Zino Vault integrating secure hardware and software technologies. According to Exodus 1s website, Zino Vault uses the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) to protect your private keys and sensitive data, and that supports the storing, sending, and receiving organize around 100 types of cryptocurrencies.
The HTC Exodus 1s is a dual SIM Android supported phone with the following specifications:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor
- Android Oreo 8.1
- 3500mAh battery
- 64GB storage
- 4GB RAM
- 5.7” HD+ 18:9 display
HTC Exodus 1s is available for buy with crypto options only in the EU region at a price tag of EUR 219.
