TCS Launches Quartz DevKit To Quickly Build, Deploy Blockchain Apps
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of a low code Blockchain Development Kit, Quartz DevKit.
The company claims that the newly launched development kit can improvise the development of smart contracts, 40% faster than existing mechanisms.
The development kit, called by the name as allows the organizations to build and deploy the Blockchain applications on the famous blockchain platforms such as
Pre-built templates are also made available to allow programmers to write code for blockchain platforms such as the R3 Corda, ethereum, and Hyperledger. Blockchain platform-specific code can be written as an extension leveraging pre-built templates.
Web-based IDE approach helps the developers to design, compile, package, and deploy business code easily, notes the announcement.
Executive Opinion
Global Head, Quartz, TCS, R Vivekanand, said, "Many of our customers, across industries, are leveraging blockchain technology to establish frictionless transactions across their extended ecosystem. We developed the Quartz DevKit to help their teams rapidly put together high-quality pilots using smart contracts on any platform with reduced coding effort. We have received very positive feedback from our pilot customers, and are pleased to make the DevKit available for use at scale."Quartz Blockchain and TCS
The Quartz kit comes built with components for the platform setup, deployment, and administration, encryption, platform security authentication, and node as well as user and identity management. The pre-built components save the developers time to build a blockchain solution to 40%, notes the announcement.
The Quartz DevKit is a part of Quartz, Smart Ledger solution. Apart from DevKit, the solution offers Quartz Smart solution, industry-specific set of blockchain-powered business solutions, Quartz Gateway for easy integration of applications with blockchain network and Quartz Command Center to administrate and monitor entire blockchain ecosystem.
Last year, TCS partnered with Intel to secure Quartz Blockchain Solution by leveraging Intel's Software Guard Extensions technology, better known as Intel SGX.
In April, TCS used cash coins on the Quartz Blockchain-powered BaNCS Network to successfully execute cross-border securities settlement between two central securities depositories (CSDs).
