SensorFlow secured additional $8.3 Million in Series A Funding from Gaw Capital Partners

SensorFlow, a Singapore based property technology startup advancing a smart building management solution, has now secured $8.3 million in the additional Series A round of funding.

The Openspace Ventures and Gaw Capital Partners led the latest funding round. Other participants include Aurum Investments and Pierre Lorient.

Founded in 2016 SensorFlow offers smart wireless IoT solutions helping hotels to automate their room environments. The company also leverages wireless sensors for large chain hotels, industrial spaces, and commercial properties to optimize their building efficiency, sustainability, and productivity.

The company had secured $2.7 million in the Series A round of funding in 2019. To date, SensorFlow has raised a total of $3.3M in funding over 4 rounds including the latest funding round.

Executive Opinion

CEO, and Co-Founder of SensorFlow, Saikrishnan Ranganathan, said, “For the hospitality sector, the need for optimizing energy and operational efficiency is especially pertinent now as it works on recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our technology can help hotels and properties maximize the use of limited resources, adopt clean technologies, and become more sustainable. SensorFlow’s solutions can thus help clients save costs in the longer term and bounce back faster from the pandemic’s economic effects."

He further added, "Climate change has largely altered our lifestyle choices, and travelers in the US have become more environmentally conscious. In the past year, we have seen a significant increase in the number of hotels partnering with us across Southeast Asia to achieve better efficiency and sustainability. This is highly encouraging and places us in a much stronger position to develop our solution further to meet demand in new key markets such as Japan, Australia, Europe, and the US. Through our smart automation solution, we want to make advanced sustainability technologies the new standard in the global hospitality industry”.

SensorFlow's Latest Funding

SensorFlow helps users to collect real-time data from within rooms and gets much more insights needed to automate their decision-making processes and optimize energy efficiency and efficiency.

The company, as of now, has plans to use the latest funding to continue to expand operations and its business outreach. The company also intends to develop a solution to automate HVAC systems. To address colder climate markets, the solution will boost heating features. Also, SensorFlow will be working on innovations to help hotels manage COVID-19 pandemic, notes the announcement.

SensorFlow plans its US debut in Q4 2020 with its focus on New York, Las Vegas, Washington, and Los Angeles.
