Fortinet acquired Cloud Security startup OPAQ Networks

Fortinet, a California based global leader in integrated, broad, and automated cybersecurity solutions, has now acquired OPAQ Networks. The financial terms of the acquisitions were not disclosed.

OPAQ offers a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) cloud solution that protects organizations distributed networks from data centers to branch offices, remote users, and IoT devices.

Fortinet and OPAQ Networks acquisition

The acquisition strengthens Fortinet's Security Fabric. OPAQ's patented ZTNA solution will enhance Fortinet's SASE to become a cloud security platform with a Zero Trust Access and Security, notes the announcement.

The solution will provide advanced firewall and SD-WAN Capabilities, sandboxing, advanced endpoint, multi-cloud protection, cloud application security broker, web application firewalling capabilities, multi-cloud workload protection, and browser isolation.
