Capgemini and Corporate Business Solutions (CBS) introduce a Data Migration Solution

Capgemini has now partnered with Corporate Business Solutions (CBS) to launch a new data migration solution for the organizations looking to achieve the digital transformation journey.

The tool, Selective Data Transition, will help the organizations across the globe move seamlessly to SAP S/4HANA, an intelligent and integrated ERP business suite that enables a way to perform transactions and analyze the business data in a real-life scenario.

David Lowson, Head of SAP European Center of Excellence at Capgemini, said, "We are excited to work closely with CBS given it’s one of the few selective data migration expert companies on the market. By combining CBS’s expertise with our Renewable Enterprise vision, we are helping organizations move into a more business-oriented, agile way of becoming intelligent enterprises."

Herman van Dam, Project Lead, OneERP at TenneT, said, "Recently, we have worked with Capgemini to use the CBS tool to create a number of scripts to ‘mask’ data in view of our SAP S/4HANA implementation. This was done specifically for the Data Migration from data in the current SAP® ECC system towards SAP S/4HANA. This worked very well, and, as a result, we decided to also use this tool to create masking scripts for the future SAP S/4HANA solution."

Capgemini and CBS Partnership 

The company revealed that Selective Data Transition is based on CBS enterprise transformer solution and can enable a holistic approach of existing process and system landscapes to S/4HANA.

It lets the businesses to re-use relevant custom solutions and gives them the option to optimize selective processes and migrate only relevant data to the new system.

The new migration approach ensures various benefits to companies, which includes a wide range of minimal cutovers leading to near-zero downtime, migration roadmaps, and reduced business disruption.
Moreover, it comes as a major upgrade over the two types of used approaches of transitioning to S/4HANA, the Greenfield and brownfield implementations.

Currently, TenneT, a European electricity transmission system operator, is now working with Capgemini to migrate data from its SAP ECC System to SAP S/4HANA.
