Nokia signed 5G network deployment deal from Togocom

Nokia has now revealed that it has secured a three-year deal from the Togocom to deploy the 5G across West African country Togo.

Togocom is a telecom market leader based in the West African country Togo. The company servess the Togolese people with the fastest network connectivity.

Paulin Alazard, CEO at Togocom, said, "Nokia’s technology helps us to modernize our existing nationwide network and enable us to offer subscribers with access to cutting-edge 5G services. We are proud to be the first country in West Africa to offer 5G’s incredible connectivity, which is be a game changer in supporting Togolese citizens with a range of new services and opportunities."

Under this new deal, Nokia will also modernize the legacy 2G, 3G, and 4G network to future proof the network infrastructure of Togocom for the next generation of the digital transformation services.

Nokia will offer equipment from its AirScale portfolio, which includes the AirScale massive MIMO Adaptive Antenna and AirScale Base Stations Solutions. Nokia will also develop and deploy the 5G monetization, Digital Operations, and data management across its scalable and open CloudBand Infrastructure software, notes the announcement.

Nokia also revealed that it would also provide digital deployment, optimization, network design, and technical support services to enable the Togocom to meet its subscriber’s demands.
