Paypal starts offering Crypto Services to US Accountholders
In an updated press release, Paypal announced that eligible US account holders will able to buy, sell, and hold cryptocurrencies with Paypal.
Previously, on October 21st, Paypal launched a crypto service allowing PayPal account holders to buy, hold, and sell cryptocurrency directly from their PayPal account. Notably, Paypal has around 26 million merchants worldwide.
Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, and Litecoin are available for purchase, hold, and sell. PayPal has also listed fees for cryptocurrency transactions.
A charge of $0.50 USD is applicable for transactions up to $24.99 USD, a 2.30% fees on transactions from $25 to $100 USD, a 2% fees on transactions from $100.01 to $200 USD, a $1.8% fees on transactions of $200.01 to $1,000 USD and 1.5% on transactions over $1,000 USD is applicable.
