Vodafone Idea (Vi) reveals Vi Cloud Firewall Solution to keep Enterprises Secure

Vi business, the enterprise services division of the telecom giant Vodafone Idea, has now launched a cloud-deployed security solution, Vi Cloud Firewall.

Vi Cloud Firewall has been developed in collaboration with FirstWave Cloud Technology. The Vi Cloud Firewall will come with features such as gateway anti-virus, content filtering, secure VPN, real-time intelligence, and DDoS protection.

FirstWave has helped Vi Business design cloud firewalls engineered for Vi’s OpenStack RedHat Cloud environment. FirstWave's Cloud Content Security Platform will manage Vi Cloud Firewall. At the core of the solution, it will be supported by the Palo Alto Network’s VM-Series of Next-Gen Firewall, notes the announcement.

Some of the advantages of Vi Cloud Firewall are zero CapEx, zero-touch, and the elimination of any on-premise infrastructure for enterprises. The solution will also not require an infrastructure upgrade or dependence on the internal IT teams.

Vodafone Idea will target the verticals of education, healthcare, BFSI, manufacturing, among others, with the solution.
